The aim of the conference Cyclic Behaviour of Soils and Liquefaction Phenomena was to bring together scientists, engineers and other specialists of cyclic soil behaviour in order to discuss important results and new ideas in this special field of activity. The goal was to pursue more accurate theoretical models, to present new laboratory test results, to demonstrate more powerful and versatile numerical methods for computarised analysis, and to disseminate expertise in design of various problems involving cyclic or dynamics behaviour of soils.
